Former world No. 5, Eugenie Bouchard signed with Yonex in the fall of 2018. “I wanted a fresh start and I’m happy that I’ve found a racquet I really trust,” said Bouchard. “I tried the new VCORE and instantly fell in love with it.”

Born in Montreal, Canada, Bouchard quickly climbed the junior ranks and ascended to world No. 2 after winning the 2012 Wimbledon Girls’ Singles Championship. She had her most successful year in 2014, where she appeared in the semifinals of three Grand Slams and became the first Canadian female player to be ranked in the Top 5.

Having struggled to find her form due to injuries, Bouchard returned to the US Open in 2018 with a new frame of mind. She worked her way through three qualifying rounds and won a main draw match in New York for the first time in three years.

“I feel like myself again,” said Bouchard. “I am able to play my aggressive game with the larger sweet spot, and I also have easy access to spin.”
